Revaz Topuria is a lecturer and researcher working at the intersection of politics, security, and society. He teaches courses on political ideologies, hybrid warfare, disinformation studies, and intelligence studies at the University of Georgia and at Free University of Tbilisi.
His professional experience spans across the public sector, international organizations, and civil society, including work with the Ministry of Economy of Georgia, UNDP Georgia, and collaborations with UN agencies such as UNICEF and UNCTAD.
At the core of his work is a simple motivation: helping people understand how politics actually affects their everyday lives. His research focuses on political ideologies, disinformation, and hybrid warfare, but what he enjoys most is the process of teaching - breaking complex ideas down and watching students begin to question, debate, and engage.
In recognition of his work in education and research, Revaz was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for 2024 in Science and Education.
Outside the classroom, he recently took up tennis - a hobby that has quickly taught him patience, discipline, and the importance of showing up consistently, lessons that surprisingly mirror his views on democracy.
